MFFC Members School provides the opportunity to brush up or learn beginner and intermediate fly fishing skills including: entomology, fly tying, equipment, knots, stream etiquette, and fly casting. Lunch is included.

Our instructors are Club members who are some of the Midwest’s finest fly anglers and tyers around.

Our school is an all day event from 10am to 3:00pm. We provide lunch, and refreshments throughout the day.  All of this is FREE, and included in your $35 club dues. Pre-registration is required.

Schedule:

  • 10:15 – 11:00 Entomology (entire group)
  • 11:00 – 12:00 Session 1 (Casting/Tying)
  • 12:12:45 Lunch
  • 12:45 – 1:45 Session 2 (Casting/Tying)
  • 2:00 – 3:00 Session 3 (Knots/Equipment, Tying, Casting)
After 3:00 the Pond can be open to additional casting.

Registration:

  • You MUST be a dues paying member club to attend this school
  • It is FREE for dues-paying members of the Michigan Fly Fishing club. There is no cost to attend and enjoy the refreshments
  • Attendance qualifies you to attend the Dick Schott New Member Outing
  • Pre-register with Chris Hunter via email or at a Club meeting
