Activities Meeting – Todd Schotts Featured Club Tyer

March 2nd Activity Meeting has Todd Schotts as the Featured Tyer. We will be tying a couple of my favorite flies for the famed Michigan Trout Opener, representing the famed Blue Winged Olive Mayfly. The flies we will be slinging bobbins for are two of my original patterns: Griz’s “Swamp Stompin’ BWO” & Griz’s “E-Train” Emerger, BWO version. Both patterns have proven many tight lines and fabulous memories for myself. The “Swamp Stompin’ BWO is a nymph pattern and the “E-Train” Emerger is part of my series of my E-Train” Emergers, that can be fished as an emerger or as a dry.

I will be supplying the material, but you will need to bring your own thread. But if you would rather use your materials, you’re more than welcome to. I do have a good supply of the dubbing for the “E-Train” since it is my custom blend dubbing.

Since I won’t be tying at the Midwest Fly Fishing Expo this year, stop in on Zoom Live or in person at the March 2^nd Activity Meeting to see me tie these two memory making, fish enticer flies.  Tight Lines & Snazzy Flies.
