SUMMARY:AuSable River Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT \nEach September\, on the Saturday after Labor Day\, the Michigan Fly Fishing Club spends time together with many other fly fishers from around the state to walk areas of our beloved AuSable River and clean debris from its river bottom and banks. The cleanup\, sponsored by the Anglers of the AuSable\, is a wonderful way to give something back to the river we fish during the summer. \nWe wade ‘beats’ that run from one access point to another and with our poking sticks and plastic rubbish bags to collect items that have been dropped or lost during the summer. Between beer cans\, flip flops and the occasional bathing suit its always an adventure. \nSign up by Email:  Josh@GatesLodge.com\nOr call:  989-348-8462 \nEvents get under way at 10 a.m. meeting at Gates Lodge.  \nFood will be available at Gates at noon.  \nSupport the Club by wearing your MFFC gear.

SUMMARY:Conservation Collaborative Cedar Work Project
DESCRIPTION:The MFFC is invited to join Anglers of the Au Sable\, along with individuals from other Michigan conservation groups including Cedars for the Au Sable\, Red Cedar Fly Fishers and the Great Lakes FFI Council\, for a cedar work project on Wednesday\, June 15 from 9:30 a.m. until noon.  \nVolunteers will meet at Cameron Bridge on the Manistee River and caravan to the location. It is in the Deward area on the west side of the river.
