SUMMARY:Trout Tune Up
DESCRIPTION:This is an important event as the Michigan Fly Fishing Club was ground zero for starting the stocking of this area with trout. We helped get the project started\, now handled completely by the DNR. \n\nTROUT TUNE-UP\nWhere:  At the Lowe’s Yurt  Outdoor Education Center\n3577 Sleeth Court\, Commerce Twp.\, Michigan 48382 \nWhat:  Annual early season trout angling on the upper reaches of the Huron River. Dust off those fly rods\, seal the wader leaks and join MFFC for a day of pre-season fishing. \nProvided:  Coffee\, water and basics. Plus Walled Lake Outdoor Center will graciously provide a large pot of hot water at no additional charge. \nBring:  Rain\, snow\, sleet\, or sunshine the event goes on. Bring rain gear and warm layered clothes because the yurt is not heated nor air conditioned. \nDon’t forget:  2027 MI Fishing License.  (A CO has been known to show up!) \nDirections:  Map to the Walled Lake Outdoor Recreation Center. \nContact:   Todd Schotts \n

DESCRIPTION:Join Club members at Gates Au Sable Lodge\, under the tent with breakfast bakery treats\, fruit\, and Bloody Marys available for attendees 9am to 11am. \nPlease park at the Stephan Bridge canoe access site to keep the parking lot open at the Lodge. \nWe will shop\, get the fishing report\, share fishing stories\, remember departed friends\, and partake in some delicious mid-morning snacks! \nAs always\, we will share good times\, stories and remember good friends that are no longer fishing with us. \nCome join us for the celebration! When it is time to adjourn to the river\, we can all seek the most beautiful fish in the world – the Michigan Brook Trout. \n
