SUMMARY:August Speaker Meeting - Jason Bergwall
DESCRIPTION:Jason Bergwall manages the Grayling Fish Hatchery and will be giving an update on the facility. The Grayling Fish Hatchery was a 2024 MFFC Conservation Fund grant recipient\, and a recipient in an earlier year. Jason will be providing insight on the grant project and new exciting changes around the grounds. \n \nJason Bergwall is a member of the Grayling Fish Hatchery Board of Directors. Apart from working with with the hatchery\, Jason is a teacher\, part-time guide\, and recently retired attorney. With a passion for education and the outdoors\, Jason can usually be found on his beloved Au Sable River or walking the grouse woods when not in the classroom.  \nThe Grayling Fish Hatchery is over one hundred years old\, and its colorful history includes past operations as both a state-run and commercial hatchery. Today\, the mission of Grayling Fish Hatchery is to establish the hatchery as a hub of learning and discovery–a place where all can come to experience the wonders and beauty of the Au Sable River. Grayling Fish Hatchery aims to educate its guests about the history\, ecology\, and conservation of the Au Sable River for generations. Grayling Fish Hatchery is a sustainably managed facility to come to see trout growing\, catch a fish\, and learn more about the long history of fishing in the Grayling area.  \n\n*MFFC business meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. EST\, learn about upcoming events\, volunteer opportunities\, hear fishing reports\, and general Club information. The speaker will take the floor around 8:00 p.m. EST.* \n\nCan’t make it in-person? Get a front row seat by joining us via Zoom. \nMFFC Meeting Zoom Meeting:\nhttps://zoom.us/j/94894893998?pwd=TGYrWnJyd0dCelVxbXdYU1lVVmd5dz09 \nMeeting ID: 948 9489 3998\nPasscode: Jvq0q6
