
November welcomes Kristin Thomas with Trout Unlimited’s Stream Restoration program.
Kristin Thomas has been with Michigan Trout Unlimited for 16 years, she is currently the Stream Restoration Director and has a BS in Ecology from Winona State University and a MS in Aquatic Science from Grand Valley State University. She has also attended numerous stream restoration training classes including Stream Simulation Design with the US Forest Service and Natural Channel Design with Wildland Hydrology. She will discuss restoration projects recently completed by Michigan Trout Unlimited including dam removal and fish passage projects in the Au Sable River watershed and habitat improvement work on the Upper Manistee River. Kristin will talk about how these projects were identified, designed, and implemented to provide the greatest benefit possible to coldwater resources. There will also be ample time for questions and answers
