This presentation of “Frogging Freshwater Explosions” is revised to include in depth info on conditions, tying techniques, what types of weeds hold bass, and rigging your gear to achieve a great time for Frogging.
I use these techniques when just fishing on various lakes and when I am Kayak Tournament Fishing. Both conditions I have been blessed and successful. I actually came in first out of all the spin casters in a tournament using my fly rod only, frogs, and using info from this presentation.
Aside from my original frog, I now have a rattling frog and a swimming frog. This style of fishing is a passion for me.
Todd Schotts Fishing Report: I am a production custom fly tyer. I own & operate GrizzlyFlies by Schottsie. I am on the Pro Teams of Anadromous Fly Company, Norvise, UV Craft, and TFO. I am currently the President of the Michigan Fly Fishing Club, plus help out with various events and am Chairperson for Guest Tyers for the Midwest Fly Fishing Expo. I am the past President of the Huron River Fishing Association (2 years) where we won the MUCC Conservation Club of the year during my term. Otherwise I am just a bass bum. I love to chase bass in my kayak, tie flies, and be with my loved ones.
