Trout Tune Up

This is an important event as the Michigan Fly Fishing Club was ground zero for starting the stocking of this area with trout. We helped get the project started, now handled completely by the DNR.

TROUT TUNE-UP

Where:  At the Lowe’s Yurt  Outdoor Education Center
3577 Sleeth Court, Commerce Twp., Michigan 48382

What:  Annual early season trout angling on the upper reaches of the Huron River. Dust off those fly rods, seal the wader leaks and join MFFC for a day of pre-season fishing.

Provided:  Coffee, water and basics. Plus Walled Lake Outdoor Center will graciously provide a large pot of hot water at no additional charge.

Bring:  Rain, snow, sleet, or sunshine the event goes on. Bring rain gear and warm layered clothes because the yurt is not heated nor air conditioned.

Don’t forget:  2026 MI Fishing License.  (A CO has been known to show up!)
