Youth School provides an enjoyable and positive fly fishing experience for young people (age 7-16) while educating them in all aspects of fly fishing. They will be taught stream-side safety and etiquette. They will learn about the different kinds of fly rods, reels, lines, and leaders. Fly rods will be provided so that each student will learn the proper methods of casting. Then, with school-supplied tools and materials, they will be taught how to tie a streamer and a dry fly which they will use in the afternoon to catch fish.
Our instructors are club members who are avid fly fishers and are eager to share their talents and knowledge with the students, who may someday join our club and meet with us in our favorite fishing holes.
Invite a young person to come and join us for a fun filled day that we are sure they will remember for a long time!
The agenda will be communicated to participants prior to the end of April.
