Outdoorama MFFC tying is part of outreach and education. We staff a booth at Outdoorama teaching young participants to tie Wooly Buggers for fishing, and guiding them through fly rod casting on the pond. Volunteers needed.

Youth School provides every thing your young fly fisher needs to have a positive experience on the water! It is open to young people age 7-16. Topics include: safety, etiquette, fly rods, reels, lines, leaders, casting and tying. All materials are provided. 2025 enrollment deadline is April 16, 2025.

The annual Smallmouth Outing is in Port Austin, MI. The intention of this smallmouth outing is to come together as fellow anglers and enjoy a few days together fishing for ‘smallies’ and enjoying the camaraderie.
